Biography
Julien Bilodeau was born in Quebec in 1974 and is a graduate of the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal. Following a five-year stay in France and Germany, he has settled in Montreal where he is continuing his career as a composer. He is well-known for his open, rich, and varied aesthetic, and his love of the symphonic repertoire has given him the opportunity to work with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, the Orchestre de la Francophonie, the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, I Musici de Montréal, Ensemble Itinéraire (Paris), and the Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt). To date, he has written over thirty works.
