Alvin Greenberg
Librettist
Biography
Novelist, poet and essayist Alvin Greenberg charmed generations of readers with his wit and cerebral musings and ability to manipulate the English language. Greenberg wrote four novels, four story collections and 10 books of poetry. He also wrote a book of essays, entitled “Dogs of Memory,” the librettos for three operas and an improvisational play for children, called “A Wall.”
