Biography Megan Levad is the author of What Have I to Say to You (Tavern Books, 2017), and Why We Live in the Dark Ages, the first selection in Tavern Books' Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series. A recent MacDowell Fellow, her poems and essays have appeared in the Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day, Tin House, Boston Review, Granta Online, Fence, the Everyman's Library anthology Killer Verse, and London art and fashion magazine AnOther, among other publications. Megan is also a lyricist and librettist. She has written several song cycles and choral pieces, including "Let Us Plant Our Gardens Now," with composer Dominick DiOrio, and "Volta," with Kristin Kuster. Kristin and Megan premiered their first opera, Kept, in May 2017 with the Virginia Arts Festival.
