Biography
Jeremy Schonfeld is a celebrated singer/songwriter, composer/lyricist, producer, occasional actor, mentor and teacher.

Jeremy is excited to release his latest album, Brooklyn to Beacon with Deko Entertainment. Recorded in the Hudson Valley where Jeremy and family live, Brooklyn to Beacon is a proud celebration of a life in transition, love, family, and aging (somewhat) gracefully. Previously, Jer's concept album Iron & Coal, produced in Vienna Austria with producing partners Beat4Feet (Martin Gellner and Werner Stranka), was nominated for several Amadeus Awards (Austrian Grammys). Iron & Coal, a deeply-personal concept album about a Holocaust survivor and his son, was recently development into a large-scale multimedia theatrical concert event (Produced by the Strathmore and Beth Morrison Projects for BMP, directed by Kevin Newbury) premiering at the Strathmore in Bethesda, MD in May of 2018. Iron & Coal was most recently featured in the prestigious Prototype Festival in NYC in January of 2020. Look for many more I&C events to come!

The album 37 Notebooks, featured vocal performance contributions from Broadway friends including Adam Pascal, Julia Murney, Tracie Thoms, Amy Spanger, Jarrod Emick, Lauren Kennedy, and Donnie Kehr. “House of Love,” recorded by Shoshana Bean for 37 Notebooks (featuring the Broadway Dreams Chorus), has been re-recorded and performed numerous times, and is consistently used in many diverse charitable campaigns including Defying Inequality and Rockers on Broadway. The New York City Gay Men's Chorus annual holiday concert at Town Hall was even appropriately billed as the “NYC Gay Men's Chorus Holiday House of Love”. Additional albums include the concept album Drift and a compilation of recordings from the mid to late '90's called Blue Skies and All. Jeremy also contributed two songs to the movie soundtrack for “Clear Blue Tuesday” (co-starring Jeremy) and penned the featured single “Babazille Mahlangu” for the Broadway in South Africa campaign. Jer also wrote and produced both singles “Queen” (Billboard charts #22) and “I Got Me” for friend and Gay Icon, Frankie Grande'.

As a musical theater composer/Lyricist, Jeremy has several shows under his belt. Drift, based on the original concept album, won numerous awards for productions at NYMF (New York Musical Theater Festival) and at the Kennedy Theater in Raleigh, N.C., and was most recently revived in concerts with both PRIMA Theater in Lancaster, PA and in London. Additional shows include Spun, Calling All Kates, and Greta with book writer Emily Goodson and director Chad Rabinovitz. Jer was also an original composer for the A-Train Musicals and a featured performer and writer for the Winter Harbor Theater company political productions Letters to Katrina and Letters to Ohio.

Some of Jeremy's favorite performances include the opening ceremonies for the Maccabi Games in both Vienna and at Madison Square Garden, Hollywood in Vienna featuring Maestro David Newman and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and co-star Deborah Cox, Drift at BB King's, Several Rockers on Broadway concert events, and regular gigs in NYC rooms including Birdland, Joe's Pub, the Cutting Room, LPR, 54 Below, and the Bitter End.

Jeremy lives in Beacon NY with his wonderful, talented, and supportive wife and children.
