Biography

Writer/editor Stephen Greco’s writing credits include the interactive app Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood, narrated by Alice Cooper and co-produced by the New York-based production company Giants are Small and Deutsche Grammophon; and Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood: The Live Show, which was premiered in 2017 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. With director/designer Doug Fitch he created the text for Fitch’s “opera of images” How Did We…?, which premiered at SUNY Buffalo in 2014; he also created the scripts for “W: Hot Culture,” a comic web series that debuted in 2013, with guest stars Sara Mearns, Alan Gilbert, Isaac Mizrahi, and Deborah Voigt, among others. 

With a background in cultural journalism, Greco has occupied leadership positions at Interview magazine, Trace magazine, Trace Media and Marketing, and Platform.net, among other media entities. He was founding Director of Content for Classical TV, which streamed full-length performing arts videos online, and has contributed features on the arts and entertainment to publications such as American Way, Art News, Dance Magazine, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, The Observer, MTV Online, New York magazine, The New Yorker, the New York Times online, Opera News, and the Santa Fe Opera program book. Greco is a frequent contributor to the New York Philharmonic edition of Playbill, and has served the Philharmonic as Acting Director of Publications. 

Greco currently serves as Editorial Director of InsideRisk, where he wrote Shadows of Medellin, an interactive theatrical, true-case thriller that premiered in 2016. Greco’s most recent novel, Now and Yesterday, was featured in Vanity Fair and praised by Kirkus as "a book about big ideas."
