Biography

Greer Sucke, aka Greer Woodward, is a playwright, lyricist, poet, and writer of short fiction. In addition to Don't Sleep Under the Mapou Tree!, her work for young audiences includes the scenario and lyrics for the Looking Glass Theatre's production of Jonny Cake/Gaspee, and co-book and lyrics for Theatreworks/USA's touring production of Sherlock Holmes and the Red-Headed League. She's a graduate of New York University's doctoral program in Educational Theatre.

For general audiences, Greer's written lyrics for choral pieces, commercials, and the Off-Broadway musical revues Pets! and That's Life! Her genre fiction and poetry is in Twisted Cat Tales, Strange Stories of Sand and Sea, Shelter of Daylight, Susurrus Magazine, Cabinet-Des-Fees web, Beyond Centauri and Star*Line. She's an Assistant Editor for the speculative fiction, art and poetry magazine Sybil's Garage.
