Brandon J. Gibson

Biography
Brandon J. Gibson is currently serving in his fifth year as Managing Director for Marble City Opera. In addition to his work as an arts administrator, he is also an active multi-disciplinary performer throughout East Tennessee.

A co-product of both the Voice and Theatre departments at the University of Tennessee, Gibson, has been reviewed as a "skilled actor" with "natural stage presence" and a "beautifully resonant bass-baritone," "possessing an instrument of substantial richness and substance."

He has sung roles in operas and musicals and similarly acted roles in Shakespeare plays, modern dramas, comedies, and the occasional commercial.

Gibson is also a professional narrator and has lent his voice to various corporate and independent video projects and the "Black in Appalachia" documentary series for East Tennessee PBS. He works as a freelance writer, reviewer, and essayist in his free time and serves on the boards of various cultural organizations in the community.

Recently he was named to the Greater Knoxville Business Journal's 2021 "40 Under 40" list.
