Synopsis
Set in the late 19th century, Joshua's Boots tells the story of a black teenager who flees barefooted from his Missouri home after his father is killed by a lynch mob. He ends up in Dodge City where, at that time, one in every four cowboys was black. After battling hardship and prejudice, he eventually makes good as a cowboy, a fact symbolized by his handsome, silver-tipped boots, an emblem of top achievement in the cowboys' world.
