Synopsis
The story concerns love in its many forms, as shown through an investigation into the lives of the five people who die when a bridge collapses into a deep gorge in the Peruvian Andes in 1714. The investigator, Brother Juniper, is put on trial by the Inquisition because of his investigation and questions.
