Synopsis
SHOT! was written after the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in 2011.  By going back into American history, the opera begins with the assassination of President McKinley in 1901 at the Pan-American Exposition.   The opera then proceeds to show the effects of terrorism, both politically and personally, for the McKinleys, the terrorist Czolgosz, the United States, and others affected by the act.
