Bastianello
Composer:John Musto
Librettist:Mark Campbell
Synopsis
The story, told by the title character, concerns, love, the trials of marriage, and forgiveness. Amadora believes, on her wedding day, that life is likely to be all downhill from here on in. She expresses her despair in a bluesy tune, so annoying her husband, Luciano, that he goes off to search for people who are stupider than his wife and in-laws. In the end he finds that his new family is not so foolish after all, and Bastianello, the couple's son, is conceived.
