Synopsis
Aesop's Fables is a series of short, 5 - 10 minutes mini operas, each based on the Fables of Aesop. Written for only 1 - 2 soloists and either string quartet or piano, Aesop's Fables is easy and inexpensive to produce as an original piece of opera for outreach and other educational programs. The Fables written thus far include: The Hare and the Tortoise, The Mule, The Sun and the Wind, The Fox and the Billy Goat, and The Mouse and the Lion.
