The Shoulder
Composer:Dan Moses Schreier
Librettist:Dan Hurlin
Synopsis
The Shoulder is inspired by the true story of a 73-year-old farmer who, having lost his drivers license, drove 250 miles across Iowa on a lawnmower to visit his ailing brother. The narrative is abstracted, as it contemplates the merits of traveling slowly in a fast world.
