Synopsis
Christmas in New York as we know it in 2002: bustle, noise, and arias overheard as they are delivered into cell phones. "Holy Night" is a tale of young love thwarted by the demands of family at Christmas - at least for the time being. Our lovers have more than the usual obstacles to overcome; they are form different races, and they are of the same sex. Coceived as a companion piece to "Della's Gift," "Holy Night" allows doubling of both singers and sets with our earlier opera (which was based on "Gifts of the Magi" by O Henry.)
