Synopsis
Set on a prehistoric grey earth before there was an atmosphere, Without Colors tells the story of Qfwfq's love for the beautiful Ayl. A new world of color is revealed, at first temporarily by a passing meteor and then more permanently by the evolving atmosphere. Fascinated by the distinctions and separations of color, Qfwfq eagerly embraces the new order, while Ayl is far more comfortable with the monochromatic unity of her old world. This opera is based on one of the short stories by the same name in Italo Calvino's Cosmicomics.
