MISSION STATEMENT
Opera at Florham provides all sectors of the community with affordable, accessible operatic and related musical performances, educates the community about opera through outreach programs and act as a cultural vehicle, maintains a high level of professional artistic excellence, and provides support for qualified young artists through performance opportunities and a vocal competition.
Opera at Florham presents professional vocalists in recital, concert, and competition performing opera, Broadway and the classic songbook. We believe Opera Is for Everyone, and offer low-cost, high-quality events to the community.
Our concert series is the only long running opera recital series in the state of New Jersey. Each concert features accomplished vocalists from around the world. The artists perform classics and rarities of opera and Broadway and similar genre enhanced by stories, history and facts about the music.
Every year, Opera at Florham presents the International Vocal Competition, where the best young talents in opera compete for large cash prizes before a celebrated collection of jurists and a live audience. Competition winners regularly go on to achieve decorated international careers.
