The setting is a television studio during a talk show. The star, Gabby Martin, is interviewing the author of a book on child abuse. Afterward, Gabby is forced to confront her own father and admit that the stories of her own victimhood were largely made up to advance her career, althought he was clearly hurt in other ways.
