A setting of the story of two Italian anarchists tried and executed in 1927 for the murder of a paymaster and payroll guard during a robbery in South Braintree, Massachusetts. The action is narrated by the ghost of the anarchist Carlo Tresca. The major characters are Sacco, Vanzetti, Rosina, Sacco's wife, Fred Moore, Saco and Vanzetti's attorney; and Tresca.
