Synopsis
Inspired by quintessential North American native mythology, the story features Weesageechak (the Trickster) and Misigoo (The Eagle) as they journey across the river to a magic island where the Spirits of the Dead dance every night by the light of the moon. Weesageechak captures them in a basket and sets out to return to the land of the living. But the Spirits of the Dead are restless, and on the long journey back, one by one they escape from the basket, a myth that illuminates much that is universal about the human condition.
