This story follows the Shakespeare version. Baptista has decided that his daughter Bianca, who is courted by Hortensio, Gremio, and Lucentio, cannot wed the man of her choice, Lucentio, until her older sister, the sharp-tongued Katharina, has a husband. Katarina's spouse turns out to be Petruchio, who tames her to win her love.
