Synopsis
The story makes fun of middle-class values, with the characters spouting nonsense. Mr. and Mrs. Smith invite Mr. and Mrs. Martin for dinner, which never takes place, a fireman arrives and tells mindless stories, and Mary, the maid, recites nonsensical lines. After a blackout, the piece begins again but with the players reversing their lines.
