Synopsis
The setting is a mythical African land. The spoiled daughter of the king, Luyala, goes against the sky spirit and is sent away to find spiritual rebirth. In the forest she discovers the poor beggar Muoma, who has been wounded, and, despite her reluctance, falls in love with him.
