In a blending of reality and the supernatural, a theater company attempts to put on Shakespeare's The Tempest. Anne, who is supposed to play the part of Ariel, is killed by falling scenery during a rehearsal, which bring on nightmares for the stage director, Gerry, Anne's former boyfriend.
