Synopsis
This two-act opera follows Mary Shelley's evolution as an artist before and after the creation of "Frankenstein". It begins with the romance between Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin and Percy Shelley in 1814 and ends after Shelley's drowning in 1823. Through the creation and acknowledgment of The Monster, Mary comes to a dramatic recognition of her own voice as an artist.
