Synopsis
An Opera in two acts based on “The Pardoner’s Tale” from Chaucer’s THE CANTERBURY TALES, is set in early 16th century Spain at the end of the war between the Moors and Christians. A tale of lost friendship, the opera follows a trio of close friends, the beautiful Maddalena, her charming but jealous lover Tonio, and their brooding friend Moro who are celebrating Carnival and arguing over stolen treasure.
